silting study, conceptual design, negotiation with mechanical
equipment suppliers, detailed designs, and supervision of construction

                | | In year 1974, the firm was
commissioned by the Mah Boonkrong Drying & Silo Co.,Ltd. to assist them in developing
an efficient system of handling the growing export business
of tapioca pellets from Thailand to the Europort at Amsterdam.
For such a long haul and low value cargo, a high capacity bulk
carrier must be employed to minimize the freight rate and keep
the CIF cost competitive against local animal feed in European
market. Thailand has no deep-sea port to accommodate such bulk
                  carrier requiring draught 35 feet.
